My little Sophie has loved music ever since she was in the womb when I would play "Sleep Sound in Jesus" to calm her to sleep. Things didn't change once she was born, but the music was a little less sleepy and lot more "cheery" kiddish music. Well last year I told her sternly (she was 8 months) that after Thanksgiving mommy listens to nothing but Christmas music until they don't play it on the radio anymore. She was pretty agreeable considering that at that time she didn't know she could voice her opinion over what we listen to. Well a whole lot has changed in the last year and my little opinionated Sophie dictates what we are going to listen to before I even get my seat belt buckled. "Mommy I unt zoo zoo zoo or duck duck or joy joy." When I told her again this year that we would be listening only to Christmas music after Thanksgiving she was not so agreeable. Let's just say Christmas music is not as fun when you have a 20-month old screaming at you "gimme zoo zoo now", so I decided to look for a compromise. Well this CD is the compromise
"America's 25 Favorite Christmas Songs for Kids." Sophie absolute loves it. We've listened to "Children Go Where I Send Thee" 35 times (no kidding my mac keeps track). Sophie calls it the "baby" song because I think that's the only word she actually understands the meaning of. She sings it none the less. So if you have little ones consider this CD for Christmas fun. If you have other ideas feel free to comment.

Blog Attempt #2
Ok..so another attempt at blogging. I read other peoples blogs and think they are so insightful and they must get a lot off their minds so here I am attempting to get stuff off my mind so that I can actually sleep at night. Things with the Grahams are very different than the last time you visited here. We live in Edgerton, OH, which probably qualifies as the middle of nowhere, but I LOVE it!! Only in Edgerton can you find the bestest friend ever (my sister lives and teaches here). And it's only about 15mins away from my parents. It's quiet and there are times when you can't find a pizza place open...that's my kind of living. We moved here because Daniel accepted a job in Ft. Wayne, IN. He has quite the drive to work, but he doesn't mind it too much.
The last year also brought us Simon Douglas Graham (7/10/08). He was born at the same birthing center and even in the same tub as Sophie. It was great. I can't believe he is 5months old already!! I also can't believe that I have been nursing for 20 months straight. I am definitely ready to start wearing regular bras again!!! If that's TMI for you then you probably shouldn't visit here often, because I definitely plan on being real. I have two children under 2 at home who really don't deserve the raw me sometimes, so I plan on leaving her right here on this blog. Most of the time the raw me is happy though because I believe I am where God wants me to be, frustrating as it may be at times. Well here goes nothing. Please feel free to comment!

Welcome!!
Hi Everyone!!! Welcome to our blog site. We started a blog to show off our little "poppy." I am not one to write tons on something like this so most of my posts will probably not be too deep or long, but I imagine having a baby will provide me with at least a little to say. I will also post when we add new pictures to our album. For those of you who only want to see the pictures you can bookmark the shared album and check it every so often to see if there are any new ones. Thanks for visiting our site. Please feel free to comment if you want!

Sophie's Nursery
A few pictures of Sophie's nursery. We still need a few more things (like a chair), but it has come a long way in the past few days. Special thanks to Dave for so diligently assembling the many pieces into crib, swing, stroller, ... And thanks to Jason for helping with the "heavy lifting". Also thanks to Matthew (and friends) for the great paint job. Lastly, thanks Dad for coming over for the carpet installers as we were on the way to the hospital!!
